listing-review for: 1840 Sumac AVE

This house has an interesting Mid Century Modern feel but you don’t experience that until you walk in the front door.  The curb appeal is lacking with a 2 car garage that greets you, along with a high fence that hides the entrance.  You must open the gate and walk through a courtyard garden to see the frontdoor.  Once inside, the house has high, angled ceilings and a great wall of windows looking out onto the backyard.  It needs updating in the kitchen and bathrooms but is very well maintained and could be easily updated without a lot of money.  The legal ADU in the front of the house is a bonus and could be converted into the master bedroom or family room or used as an income stream as is. I think this house is priced well and is great “as is” and has potential to be updated into a house that is $1.3-$1.5M like it’s nextdoor neighbor to the east.
